Late Snacker! Part 1

Why eating past 6 o’clock could be bad for you…OR…not?

Many would argue that eating late at night is bad for you and that we shouldn’t eat past 6 o’clock.

There are a few things linked to this saying…

  1. weight gain
  2. increase in blood sugar levels
  3. heart diseases
  4. obesity
  5. acidity.

While these are true for the most part I would argue that it’s not so much about the time as it is about the TYPES of FOODS you would actually be consuming late at night.

The problem is many people who eat late snacks choose unhealthy options like

  • potato chips
  • ice cream
  • high sugary drinks (sugar crash)
  • candy
  • highly processed carbs
  • donut…etc

You get my point? This is a good reason to gain weight at ANY TIME OF THE DAY NOT JUST AT NIGHT!

If we crave late-night food is because our body is lacking the nutrients it needs to be able to perform on a daily basis.

This means you are nutrient deficient.

So your body is wanting to feed itself but doesn’t understand all the crap that is coming into it yet decides to take it in any way because it needs food to survive.

Just like a car needs gasoline in order to run smoothly, so does your body needs the right types of “food” in order for it to function and perform in a healthy manner.

Yet all the while after eating these genetically modified foods that are overly processed causes us to lack energy and even lowers our metabolism down which is what helps us to burn fat!

We tend to always be tired and suffering from heartburn and that does not even include the brain fogs and severe headaches that come along with it.

Question. Is that not true?

I know because the minute I sway from my healthy eating habits all those things come right back! I can’t escape it.

Those are consequences to our bad eating!

So I would agree that eating THESE types of FOODS late at night will indeed not only make you gain weight but also cause you even emotional instability, depression, and many more serious diseases shortly following if left untreated.

BUT I on the other hand did quite the opposite……

During my weight loss journey

I did eat past 6 o’clock but……

That will be left for part 2 of this conversation:)….Tomorrow

Later guys and gals!

So Long and good night!
